It's to easy to walk by Joy Café and somehow not notice it. But the cakes and tarts are delicious, staff is kind, and the place is quiet even on weekends. I'll surely visit as often as I can!

I ordered a cake for my mum’s 80th birthday from here. Good communication prior to ordering the cake. My husband went to collect the cake and when it arrived home the top layer collapsed. It was not secured properly to the bottom layer. The dowels were not stabilising the cake properly so it collapsed. The cake had to be separated so that we could take nice pictures with mum blowing the candles. We had to do some damage control on the buttercream and try and to repair the look of the cake. I did send pics and explained what had happened. All I got back from Joy Cafe was an apology and was asked to bring the cake back. Unfortunately the party already started and we had to make do with what we had. I paid £150 for this cake and to be honest I was disappointed as there was no discount suggested. I will not be going there again.

Nice cafe with a relaxed atmosphere, loads of space, good food, a great selection of cakes and friendly attentive staff. I ordered the chicken wrap which was presented well and tasted nice. Drinks wise, we had their juices and I could see they were freshly made right Infront of us. We were spoilt for choice when it came to cakes as they all looked good - I opted for the pistachio cake which was delicious! Areas to improve - their lunch menu could be improved as there were only two items to choose from and a bit more attention to detail to taking orders are as we did not receive an item we had ordered. Overall, we were all pleased with the food and the experience and we shall certainly be returning.

Ordered for the first time off UberEats, I tried to raise support via the app but it didn’t let me so I’m posting here. We ordered two veggie breakfasts, whilst the quantities were good, the food was cold (despite being delivered ahead of time). Poached eggs are shown in the sample image but we received something that hardly resembles an egg. My children would’ve done a better job frying an egg. We also requested utensils but none were provided.

Had a lovely vegan brunch. One of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh avocado and hummus, delicious Shashuka and potatoes cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff as we have a young baby. Make sure you’re hungry coz the portions are really generous. Great experience and we will be regulars here from now on!

Honestly, this cafe has been my favorite for years(Before it was called tartine). The prices are very reasonable, great value for money I recommend the sandwiches. The service is always high quality and they have contact plugs so you can work/study whilst sipping a coffee or fresh squeezed smoothie.

Absolutely wonderful café! Best rainbow cake I have ever eaten and great smoothies and breakfast. They made a cake for my husband's birthday and I keep coming back. Lovely staff and café - would 100% recommend!

We ordered delivery and ate in our own home. The food was still hot and delicious. We ordered 2 coffees, 2 cakes, and one club sandwich, which came with chips and salad. This was a filling lunch for the two of us.Coffee was really lovely, and cakes looked beautiful and tasted amazing.The sandwich was nice and the sauce especially delicious. I did find the chicken a little dry, the breast fillet was lovely and big but this made the presentation a bit wonky, perhaps could be improved if it were flattened before cooking. Overall though, a lovely lunch we both thoroughly enjoyed.The meal came to about £24 for the two of us which felt like a more than fair price for what we got. If we are ever in the area we are planning to pop in for a sit down coffee and cake again, and perhaps try one of their other lunch options which all sounded delicious.
